Hi,
Wow! That’s so awesome! Just in time for me to get a new cellphone! I’ve only heard about the Peek for 2 days, yet I’m already hungry for its device! What a good timing for me! I heard about some problems of the original Peek, but Pronto could have updated and fixed problems from the original!

[...] We don’t have much to go on here save for the image above (which a tipster discovered on Peek’s peekforbusiness.com page). If we had to take a flying leap, we’d say that the company does indeed have something on the way — perhaps a 3G device? That’s pure speculation, but if anyone out there on the interblogs knows anything we don’t, feel free to pass it along! Update: It looks like Peek can’t help themselves. I know I’m not your target market (jailbroken iPhone 3G already), but I wish you guys the best of luck. I love seeing small companies with a solid core focus putting out devices that deliver a good solid kick in the pants to the status quo of overpriced hardware and service. If T-Mobile ever offers service up where my family lives (eastern Maine) I’ll be encouraging them to pick up some Peeks instead of trying to get them onto a Blackberry. Perhaps there’s a marketing angle for you in the idea that your devices are good for geeks, too.
If we suggest Peeks to family and friends, we don’t wind up getting panicked phone calls when they can’t understand the controls. Sounds like a win-win to me.

Make a version of the pronto come with free cellular access like you did for a little bit with the original peek, and I will be in. Email is the only reason I have a smartphone, and if I could get a dumbphone again, it would end up saving me a lot of money.

Peek Pronto Is Twice as Fast as Original Peek Email Device [Peek Pronto]…
The veil around the Peek Pronto is falling away: It’s “much, much faster in every way possible” than the original Peek. Load times cut in half. Maybe there’s 3G too?

I just heard about the Peek yesterday. I called and talked to a customer service rep and found that you all will be coming out with an updated version in a couple weeks that ‘may’ be compatible with Microsoft Outlook. All I can say is “I CAN’T WAIT!” I am so excited!!! This is just what I have been waiting for. If you could also create one with mobile internet – I would die a VERY happy gal! I will be purchasing one of these on the first day!

So when do we get to know if the Pronto has different internals than the Peek I’m carrying around in my pocket or not? I understand I get the new software, but am I missing anything vs. the Pronto other than color? Storage space? Faster processor?
Btw, I hope the Pronto software solves the “single threaded” issue, where getting new mail makes the Peek miss a few keystrokes if you’re editing at the same time. Much more important than push email, though I’ll assume that’s fixed.
(Psst… still waiting on my dev kit that was offered in an earlier post. It’s a cool device, and just a few moves away from being really hot stuff.)
