We launched our new and improved texting solution with 3Jam last week. It appears that a lot of you were excited about this as our texting rate has definitely improved!
You will all see a bunch of improvements:
1. 99.999% delivery rates (carriers were dropping way too many of our email to texts)
2. Much faster roundtrip times on SMS conversations, each leg should be ~30s
3. It will come from a 10 digit number instead of a 4 digit short code
4. Less encoding errors with weird symbols
Hope you enjoy!

Good to see progress in this area.
I understand from tech support that the phone number assigned to my account for text purposes will change periodically. So, it would be impossible for someone that texts me on a regular basis to put my text phone # in their Contacts list.
Will this be changing?

One of the reasons we partnered with 3jam is so that down the road we could find a solution where people could have their own phone number. It’ll happen.
Another solution for now is to use 3Jam’s service and have people text you on that number… it’ll show up as an email. Similarly you could use Google Voice.
