Not sure if some of you picked up on this, but I thought it was kind of funny and have been meaning to talk about it.
When the Storm launched we did a little stunt. We dressed up a few people in prisoner’s garbs and chained them to giant blackberry’s, giving them a 2 year sentence to paying too much! I thought it was pretty funny. Unfortunately the folks at Verizon did not agree with us and asked us (via the police) to leave.

You don’t have to sign a contract to get cellphone service with Verizon Wireless. You do have the choice to pay the regular retail price of the phone and be contract-free. Granted the regular price of the phone is expensive, but what do you expect? Look at all that cellphones can do: talk to anyone in the world with a little device in the palm of your hand and get the internet in your hand wherever you go too. That’s pretty amazing. Of course they cost a lot, making technology that awesome ain’t a cheap business

@John – you are kidding right? Funny! “Cell phones” are by now a really cheap and easy technology, and the bogus “retail” prices they charge are an outrage.
On the other hand, they do their best to stuff those smartphones full of junk you barely use to justify the $599-no-contract price….
So there might be something to it!!
